This device provides the lost motion function on many Yanmar marine engines.
It is designed toaccommodate the small amount of movement in the throttle cable as the control lever is moves in to forwards or reverse gear.
This prevents the engine from revving up just as the gear is selected.
It screws onto the 3/16 thread found on 33C cables made by Teleflex and other manufacturers.
It can be used on other makes of diesel engine to provide the same function
