Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Once an order has been accepted regular orders are dispatched within 2 working days and are shipped via Royal Mail, UPS, DHL, TNT, DPD, or Parcel Force depending on the products ordered. UK Orders should be delivered to you within 2-5 working days. If you have not received your order by 7 working days from dispatch, then please contact us.

To qualify for the Express Delivery service in the UK, orders must be placed prior to 14:30 on a working day. Any orders placed after this time or on weekends/holidays will be dispatched on the following working day. For smaller, non-liquid items, we utilise Royal Mail Special Delivery, while larger items and liquids are shipped via DHL, TNT, or UPS. Please note that certain long, bulky or heavy items may not be eligible for express delivery. Remote areas do not qualify for Express delivery. If you live in a remote area and choose this option, we'll utilise a express service, leading to quicker delivery, though not necessarily delivery in 1-2 days. All our deliveries are made to the best of our ability and on a 'best endeavours' basis.

At busy times or during periods of poor weather deliveries may be delayed. Please ensure that you order items with sufficient time to reach you.

Items 1m and over: We have limited delivery options for long items. These items cannot be sent on an express service (even if you select that option at checkout). If you do select express delivery, we will attempt to get your item to you as fast as possible (best endeavours), however we cannot refund carriage if the delivery takes longer.

Long items may take 5-7 working days to deliver to a UK (non remote) address, for standard delivery and 1-4 working days for the express option.

International Delivery

Delivery charges for international orders are calculated at checkout based on destination, size, and weight. In some cases, particularly for larger, heavier, or higher-value items, the final shipping method and cost may need to be reviewed manually. Where this is necessary, we will contact you prior to dispatch.

International shipments are subject to customs clearance procedures within the destination country. These procedures are controlled by local authorities and are outside of our control. As a result, delivery times can vary significantly and, in some cases, shipments may be subject to extended delays during customs inspection or reassessment.

Depending on the destination, shipments may be sent either:

  • Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) – where import duties, taxes, and clearance fees are payable by the recipient prior to delivery, or
  • Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) – where these charges are prepaid and included in the total cost

The applicable method will be confirmed prior to dispatch where required.

For certain destinations and shipment types (including heavy or high-value goods), we may require:

  • Manual processing of the order
  • Alternative payment methods (such as bank transfer)
  • Confirmation of acceptance of potential customs delays

If we are unable to fulfil an order under acceptable shipping conditions, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order in full prior to dispatch.

While we will provide accurate customs declarations and support any reasonable requests for documentation, we cannot guarantee customs clearance times or outcomes, and delays of several weeks or longer may occur in some cases.

By placing an international order, you acknowledge that:

  • Customs processes are outside our control
  • Delivery timeframes are estimates only
  • Additional verification or delays may occur during import

Discontinuation of shipping to the European Union

Due to increased complicated legislation and bureaucracy generated by the European Union, it has become unproductive to continue our service to the 27 EU states. Regrettably we have therefore had to discontinue our service to Europe. We hope that one day we may be able to resume our service but for now it has had to stop.

Order tracking

If an order has been sent via a trackable service, you may request a tracking code once the order has shipped.

Returns

If you wish to return your order, then please contact us as soon as possible. You may return your order as long as the items are unused, unopened and in their original packaging up to 14 working days from the delivery date. From date of notifying us, you then have a further 14 days to deliver the item back to us. Items will be inspected before a refund is issued. If items have been removed from their original packaging there will be a repackaging / inspection fee. Providing the item is not used or damaged this fee will not exceed 20% of the item cost. Please do not return used items, as a refund cannot be issued.

If returning items causes your final order value to drop below our free-shipping threshold, the appropriate shipping cost may be deducted from your refund.

Please note that some items are excluded from returns. These include:

Custom made items, such as battery cables (unless the fault is ours)

Cartography that has been downloaded (by ourselves or the customer)

Faulty Items

If an item is faulty within 30 days of delivery, then please contact us. Outside of this period items with a manufacturer's warranty can be sent for repair by the manufacture by contacting their service department. Please check the documentation with your item for details.

Refunds

All items will be inspected for damage, before we decide if a full refund can be issued.

For UK Mainland (Not NI, CI etc.) when the entire order is returned, refund will include the cost of outbound postage, unless enhanced postage is selected.

We will not refund the cost of returning an item to us unless the fault is ours.

We endeavour to process refunds within 30 days of return.

Cancelled Orders

Any payment fees associated with cancelled orders, that are not recoverable, will not be refunded.

Any items that are specially ordered for a customer, may incur handling/import fees - these fees are not refundable if unrecoverable.

Nobody Home / Retention Period Exceeded

The couriers we use, and the post office will usually make 2 delivery attempts. If there is nobody there to receive the goods, the item will be retained for 18 days in the case of the post office or around 5 working days in the case of couriers. A card may be left but this practice is becoming less common. It is your responsibility to notify us or the post office / courier company within the timeframes noted above if a delivery is missed. Should an item be returned to us by the post office or courier, you will be asked to pay the costs of sending the item out again.
