In 2002 MerCruiser changed on the V6 and Small Block V8 engines from the standard style of exhaust to this newer Dry Joint Exhaust system.
The purpose of this was to reduce the risk of water leakage at the gasket between the manifold and exhaust riser.
The listing is for one elbow as seen in the picture. It is the same part for Port or Starboard side use.
